ART & SCIENCE OF INNER GLOW HYPNOTHERAPY
The Foundation
Inner Glow Hypnotherapy is rooted in the belief that love is our true essence & natural state.
Rather than fixing what is “broken” — this method is about returning to the wholeness that already exists within.

The Heart
The heart generates the most powerful electromagnetic field in the body.
Up to 60 times greater electrically and 5,000 times stronger magnetically than the brain. This field extends beyond the body and is influenced by both our physiological and emotional states.
Research suggests that the heart and brain are in continuous two-way communication through the nervous system, hormones, and electromagnetic signals. Signals sent from the heart influence areas of the brain connected to emotional processing, attention, perception, and stress regulation.

The Mind
The mind operates on two interconnected levels — the conscious and the subconscious.
The conscious mind represents the part we actively identify with in the present moment—responsible for logic, analysis, decision-making, and focused awareness.
Beneath this lies the subconscious mind, which stores the deeper layers of our experience. It holds our memories, emotional responses, beliefs, behavioural patterns, attachment dynamics, and the automatic programs that shape how we think, feel, and respond to life.
While the conscious mind may desire change, it is the subconscious mind that ultimately shapes our patterns.

The Power of Hypnosis
Lasting change becomes possible when the conscious and subconscious mind begin working together rather than against one another. Hypnotherapy works by bringing these two levels of the mind into greater harmony.
Inner Glow Hypnotherapy also supports the heart and nervous system in moving into a more coherent state.
Where the body can experience greater balance, clarity, and emotional regulation. This connection between the heart, brain, and body plays an important role in overall wellbeing and inner harmony.

Hypnosis vs. Hypnotherapy
Both treatments are built on the same foundational principles.
Working with the subconscious mind and connecting with the potential within—to support greater balance, inner alignment, and lasting transformation.
Inner Glow Hypnosis is a softer, deeply relaxing experience that can help calm the nervous system while supporting confidence, focus, performance, and the strengthening of positive mental patterns.
Inner Glow Hypnotherapy is a deeper and more intensive therapeutic process. While still gentle and supportive, it works more directly with subconscious patterns, emotional responses, beliefs, and behavioural conditioning that may contribute to emotional challenges or limiting patterns.
Both treatments create space for greater clarity, balance, and connection—while offering different levels of depth depending on your individual needs and preferences.

The Art
We may call it Human Potential, the True Self, the Higher Self, the Soul, or the Power of the Heart. The language differs because it is a concept science has not yet been able to define.
Inner Glow Hypnotherapy is built on the belief that every person holds access to an inner source of wisdom and unlimited potential.
The treatments are designed to help you reconnect with the part of you that is wiser, stronger, and more powerful than the state of your current challenge.
In the state of hypnosis—it becomes possible to reconnect with, and activate the limitless potential carried within.
As the awareness of your inner source expands your current state. The previous state of mind will automatically shift — when your Higher Self’s perspective is found, discovered and integrated.
A simple way to understand this principle is through this example: When learning how to ride a bicycle — once the ability have been discovered, activated, and integrated, you cannot return to the state of not knowing how to ride. The same principle applies within Inner Glow Hypnotherapy.

Human Potential
From a philosophical perspective, human potential is often viewed as the innate capacity within each person to grow, evolve, and move toward a more complete expression of themselves.
Many philosophical traditions suggest that beneath conditioning, fear, and learned patterns, there exists a deeper essence — that naturally seeks balance, meaning, connection, and self-realisation.
From this perspective, human potential is not about becoming something entirely new, but about uncovering and developing what already exists within us.
Growth is therefore seen as an ongoing process of awareness, integration, and alignment between the mind, body, emotions, and inner self.
When limiting patterns, unconscious conditioning, and emotional barriers begin to soften, space is created for qualities such as clarity, creativity, resilience, compassion, and inner balance to emerge more fully.

The Effect
Research suggests that hypnosis may support neuroplasticity — the brain’s ability to reorganise and form new neural connections.
Brain imaging studies have shown measurable changes during hypnosis in regions linked to attention, emotional regulation, behavioural patterns, self-awareness, and decision-making, including the anterior cingulate cortex and prefrontal cortex.
Because many emotional and behavioural responses become automatic over time, hypnotherapy may help interrupt these established patterns while supporting the formation of new, more adaptive responses. Some researchers describe this as a process of increasing “cognitive-emotional flexibility”, allowing the mind to move beyond habitual thought and behavioural loops.
A review published in Neuroscience & Biobehavioral Reviews concluded that hypnosis may influence both functional connectivity and neuroplasticity, potentially helping explain its effects on habits, stress responses, emotional regulation, and behavioural change.

FAQs
What is Hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy is a therapeutic method that works with the subconscious mind to support positive psychological, emotional, and behavioural change. Through guided relaxation and focused attention, it helps create a calm and receptive state where deeper patterns, responses, and beliefs can be explored and gently reshaped.
What is Hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a natural state of focused awareness and deep relaxation. It is a state we naturally move in and out of throughout daily life — for example, when we enter a state of flow and lose track of time, during meditation, deep concentration, daydreaming, or when we become deeply immersed in a book or film.
Is Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy Safe?
Yes, hypnosis and hypnotherapy are considered safe and natural therapeutic approaches when practiced by a qualified professional. Throughout the session, you remain conscious, aware, and in control, and cannot be made to do anything against your will. You are also able to return to full awareness at any time.
How Does It Feel & What Is the Experience of Being in a State of Hypnosis?
Most people experience hypnosis as a calm and deeply relaxing state of focused awareness. You may feel physically relaxed while remaining mentally aware and present throughout the session.
Some people describe the experience as similar to meditation, daydreaming, or becoming deeply absorbed in a book or thought. While every experience is different, you remain conscious, aware, and in control throughout the process.
What Happens in the Brain During Hypnosis?
During hypnosis, brain activity shifts from the more alert beta state into slower alpha and theta brainwave states, which are commonly associated with deep relaxation, focused attention, and increased internal awareness.
What Are Brainwave States?
Brainwave states are associated with different levels of awareness, focus, relaxation, and sleep. The brain naturally moves through different brainwave states throughout the day. During hypnosis, the mind can shift from the active thinking state of Beta into Alpha and Theta states.
✶ Beta
Beta is the normal waking state associated with active thinking, concentration, problem-solving, and external focus. Higher beta activity is often linked to stress, overthinking, and heightened mental alertness.
✶ Alpha
Alpha is a calmer and more relaxed state commonly associated with meditation, light relaxation, creativity, and daydreaming. In this state, the mind becomes less externally focused and more internally aware.
✶ Theta
Theta is a deeper state of relaxation often associated with hypnosis, meditation, vivid imagination, memory processing, and the subconscious mind. This state may increase receptivity to therapeutic work and emotional processing.
What Can Hypnotherapy Assist With?
Hypnotherapy may support a wide range of emotional, psychological, and behavioural challenges by working with subconscious patterns, beliefs, and responses.
Areas commonly explored in my practice include anxiety, anger, stress, trauma, low self-esteem, lack of confidence, insecurity, emotional regulation, grief, burnout, fears and phobias, self-sabotage, unwanted habits and addictions, insomnia, OCD, performance enhancement, creative blocks, shame, guilt, heartbreak, and other behavioural patterns that may contribute to emotional imbalance or inner distress.
How Can Hypnotherapy Support Overcoming Trauma?
Trauma can affect the nervous system in ways that may leave individuals feeling emotionally overwhelmed, hypervigilant, anxious, disconnected, or emotionally stuck long after the experience has passed. These subconscious survival responses can continue to influence thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and physical reactions, even when the individual consciously understands they are no longer in danger.
Hypnotherapy offers a gentle therapeutic approach that works with the subconscious mind and nervous system to support emotional processing, reduce emotional reactivity, and encourage healthier emotional and behavioural responses. By accessing deeper subconscious patterns in a safe and supportive state of focused awareness, individuals may begin to feel calmer, more regulated, and more connected to the present moment.
Supporting Performance, Creativity & Human Potential
Hypnotherapy is not only used to address challenges or unwanted patterns. It is also used by athletes, performers, artists, and business leaders to support focus, performance, creativity, intuition, human potential, and mental clarity.
Where Does Hypnotherapy Originate From?
Hypnosis and altered states of focused awareness have been practiced in different forms for thousands of years across ancient cultures and healing traditions. Modern hypnotherapy later developed into a recognised therapeutic approach within psychology and medicine, evolving alongside a growing scientific understanding of the mind, consciousness, and nervous system.
Today, research in neuroscience and neuroplasticity suggests that hypnosis may influence brain activity, emotional processing, behavioural patterns, and cognitive flexibility. Brain imaging studies have observed measurable changes in areas associated with attention, emotional regulation, and subconscious processing during hypnosis.
Hypnotherapy is now widely used as a therapeutic tool to support emotional wellbeing, behavioural change, stress reduction, trauma work, performance, and personal development — offering a natural, non-invasive approach to working with the mind and subconscious patterns.
When Did Hypnotherapy Begin Being Used in Medicine?
Modern hypnotherapy began gaining recognition within medicine and psychology during the 18th and 19th centuries. Early developments are often linked to the work of Franz Mesmer in the late 1700s, followed by Scottish surgeon James Braid in the 1840s, who later coined the term “hypnosis” and helped establish a more scientific and medical understanding of the practice.
By the late 19th and early 20th centuries, hypnosis was increasingly explored within medicine, psychiatry, and psychology in areas such as pain management, trauma, emotional health, and behavioural change. During the 1950s, organisations including the British Medical Association and the American Medical Association formally recognised hypnosis as a legitimate therapeutic tool within clinical practice.
